Where have all the cowboys gone?

So I posted a rant about women and Halloween earlier, and now it's the dudes' turn to face the fire.

What is this trend of men-babies that is so rampant now? Perhaps my childlike memory failed me, but it seems like men were men when I was growing up. Now... men shirk responsibilities and play video games and avoid commitment and 40-year-olds feel no pressure at all to get married or have children. Did I miss something?

We all wish we could have the best parts of adulthood and childhood forever, but there are reasons we must grow up. There are reasons we don't have ice cream for dinner every night and play video games instead of finishing that presentation for tomorrow. I'm a huge fan of being silly and having fun and doing whatever makes you feel good (borderling hedonist, even), but there is a point in time when you have to put on a tie and go to work.

I hate to judge, but c'mon guys. Get out of your parents' basements, put down the controller, and start being a grown man.
