Calm in Calamity
Amongst the chaos and cacophony,
An ever-swirling speed of tornadic activity
I find peace in the eye of the storm
A sort of forced calm in the calamity
A need for reflection before facing
whatever destruction awaits
An eerie stillness in the screaming
thunder wrecking everything around me
The storm singing in its
rage, screaming
and slapping my face with its winds
But still I sit silently
Spilling tranquility in my silky sanctuary
